During this engaging and informative 2-day course, ISCA Co-Director Brooke Fezler will lead participants through an interactive training session. The course is specifically designed to enhance your understanding of the new ISCA International Model 2nd edition, which is aimed at establishing a comprehensive school counseling program. As a participant, you will gain valuable insights, practical strategies, and relevant resources that can be immediately applied to enhance your school counseling program.

Throughout the course, Brooke will facilitate dynamic discussions and provide hands-on activities to ensure an active learning experience. She will share valuable tips and equip counselors with a toolkit of effective techniques and resources that can be integrated into their school counseling practices.

By the end of the training, counselors will leave with a heightened knowledge of the ISCA International Model 2nd edition, along with a range of practical tools that can be implemented in their day-to-day counseling activities. This course promises to be a valuable opportunity for professional growth and empowerment, enabling counselors to enhance their effectiveness and make a positive impact within their school communities.

How might I apply the ISCA International Model for School Counseling Programs to my current school setting? 

How might we leverage the diversity among counselors at various divisions, and in various cities around the world to work towards the same goals and share resources?

By the end of the course participants will know:

  • the ISCA International Model 2nd edition

  • the 4 components of the Model: Foundation , Program Delivery, Management System, Assessment

By the end of the course participants will be able to : 

  • examine the ISCA International Model 2nd edition (including the NEW Student Standards)

  • create program goals

  • collaborate with counselor colleagues from around the world

  • develop a three-year implementation plan based on the needs of their student and school needs.

About the Facilitator

Brooke Fezler, M.A. in Counseling, is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the International School Counselor Association (ISCA), drawing upon her extensive experience in international school counseling. Since 2005, she has worked in schools across five countries, making a significant impact on student success through effective coordination of school-wide initiatives and promotion of comprehensive counseling programs. Brooke is also an adjunct professor at Lehigh University, sharing her expertise with aspiring counselors. As a co-developer of the International Model for School Counseling Programs in 2011 and 2022, she has contributed to advancing the field. Her dedication to education and multifaceted involvement as a Co-Founder, Director, adjunct professor, and author make her an invaluable asset to ISCA and the international school counseling community.

Fees and Information

Registration fee for 1-person: $560 (ISCA Member) or $640 (Non-Member)

*Fee includes: 

  • Participation in 2-day course taught by ISCA Co-Director, Brooke Fezler  
  • Two (2) full buffet lunches during the course
  • Four (4) coffee breaks with snacks throughout the course
  • Transportation to and from the training for two days
  • ISCA Digital Badge and Professional Development Hours upon completion of the course
